Michael Alexander
At Alexander Sports, Michael invests for the long term. He analyzes each sporting event along with the risks involved to determine whether or not the risk/reward ratio is in line with his investment strategy. Once his selections are made he then employ a strategy called asset allocation.
Asset allocation is the simple decision of how and where to invest a pool of resources (our money). The purpose of asset allocation is to control risks and to optimize total return.
His betting strategy seeks to maximize the potential return on risk. In other words, his principle goal is to deliver the maximum level of return per unit of risk through effective analysis of each and every sporting event.
Why allocate assets? Asset allocation has been identified as the single most important element of investment success. According to a study by Brinson, Hood and Beebower, over 90% of long-term investment return is attributable to the asset allocation decision.
Investors, who do not properly weigh all factors inevitably take on higher amount of risk, but may not earn higher returns to compensate for taking that risk.
At Alexander Sports, Michael's job is to create an investment strategy and discipline that produces better and more consistent rates of return on our money over the long term. To Michael, any other approach to sports investing is gambling and gambling is not a sound investment decision.
